Master of the SEI USUCT became the laureate of the NAS of Ukraine Prize
At the SEI “Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology” of USUST, a ceremonial presentation of the diploma to the laureate of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Award took place for Vitalii Slipchenko, a master’s graduate of the Department of Biotechnology and Life Safety.
The awards of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine for students and young scientists are one of the instruments for supporting talented youth and stimulating scientific research. They are granted for significant achievements in fundamental and applied research and attest to the high level of scientific training of higher education students.
According to the decision of the Presidium of the NAS of Ukraine dated February 25, 2026, the award of the Department of General Biology was granted to a second (master’s) level higher education student of specialty 162 “Biotechnology and Bioengineering” for the scientific work “The Influence of Leonardite on the Growth and Development of Pleurotus ostreatus Fungi in the Process of Solid-State Cultivation”. The research was carried out under the supervision of Associate Professor of the department Kateryna Vlasenko.
The diploma was presented to the laureate by the Director of the SEI USUCT, Professor Olha Sverdlikovska, and the Head of the Department of Biotechnology and Life Safety, Associate Professor Nataliia Mitina.
During the ceremony, Professor Olha Sverdlikovska noted: “The awarding of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Prize is evidence of the high level of training of higher education students and their scientific potential. We congratulate the laureate on this significant achievement and wish him further successful realization in scientific and professional activities.” Head of the Department Nataliia Mitina also emphasized: “Receiving the award is the result of dedicated scientific work, perseverance, and professional development. We wish him further scientific achievements and new accomplishments.”
At the time of the award presentation, Vitalii Slipchenko had already completed his studies and obtained a master’s degree, which symbolically became recognition of his first significant scientific achievements at the beginning of his professional career.
