Interregional meeting of philatelists 2025 at the SEI USUCT
On October 25, 2025, the traditional annual interregional meeting of philatelists was held at the Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology (UKUNT). This year it was dedicated to the topic of airmail and Ukrainian postal history. The event brought together teachers, students and applicants who, under the leadership of the institute’s management, visited the exhibition and took part in a lecture on the topic “Cossacks and Cossack times in philately”.
The guest lecturer was Dmytro Tsymerenko, Chairman of the Board of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Society of the Association of Philatelists of Ukraine. In the lecture, he demonstrated unique collectible stamps and envelopes dedicated to outstanding figures, battles and symbols of the Cossack era, spoke about the artistic features of the stamps and their historical significance.
According to the organizers, the exhibition focused on the phenomenon of airmail – the delivery of mail by airplanes, which has ancient origins. In particular, Ukraine commemorates the 75th anniversary of the first international airmail flight Vienna-Krakow-Lviv-Kyiv.
The participants listened to the lecture with interest, asked questions, examined the exhibits and shared their impressions. The atmosphere was warm, full of respect for history and national traditions, because philately provides an excellent opportunity to deepen knowledge of history, culture and art through the study of postage stamps.
We express our sincere gratitude to the management of the National Institute of Science and Technology of the Ukrainian State Technical University and personally to the head of the Department of Technology of Natural and Synthetic Polymers, Fats and Food Products, Professor, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Oleg Chervakov, for their support in organizing the event and involving students in educational meetings that broaden their worldview and contribute to the upbringing of love for Ukrainian culture and history.
Thank you to everyone who joined the event!. Together we continue to preserve traditions, popularize Ukrainian postal and philatelic heritage and inspire young people to scientific and cultural pursuits.
