On January 15, 2025, students of the educational and scientific institute “Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology” USUST took an active part in the celebration of International Museum Selfie Day, which is traditionally celebrated on Wednesday of the third week of January.

This creative flash mob, launched in 2014, quickly gained popularity all over the world, including in Ukraine. Its main goal is to draw attention to museums as centers of culture and make them more attractive to young people through modern forms of interaction.

As part of the action, students visited the Museum of History of the National Institute of Chemistry and Technology of USUST, where they had the opportunity not only to take bright selfies against the background of the expositions, but also to get to know the rich history of their alma mater. The university museum has become a real interactive space where history comes to life through the prism of modern technologies and youth trends.

“Such events help to popularize our museum as an important cultural center of the university and encourage students to study the history of the institution in an interesting and modern way,” the organizers of the event note.

We thank everyone who joined the event, and we hope that Museum Selfie Day will become a favorite tradition for students and university employees. After all, museums are places where the past comes to life, inspiring us with new ideas and achievements.
