Greeting from the Director of the SEI USUCT, Olha Sverdlikovska, on Science Day
Dear colleagues, esteemed scientists, lecturers, staff members, and students!
I sincerely congratulate you on Science Day—a celebration of intellect, depth of thought, and the inner power of cognition.
Science is much more than a body of knowledge or a set of research results. It is a special way of seeing the world—carefully, profoundly, and multidimensionally. It is the ability to find meaning in complexity, to uncover patterns where others see only chaos, and to move forward even in conditions of uncertainty.
Just as an image is born from the interplay of light and shadow, truth is formed through the intense work of thought. Science requires not only precision but also courage—the courage to ask difficult questions, to doubt, to seek new approaches and solutions.
A true scientist is a person who combines rationality and inspiration, discipline and freedom of thought, responsibility for results and faith in an idea.
Today, in the face of serious challenges, science becomes the foundation of development, the basis of innovation, and the driving force of our country’s future. And it is you—scientists and educators—who build this foundation every day through your work, dedication, and high professional standards.
I extend my sincere gratitude to each of you for your work, perseverance, integrity, and commitment to truth.
I wish you new discoveries, inspiration for bold ideas, an inner light that guides you forward, and confidence in the importance of your mission.
Sincerely
Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor, Director of SEI USUCT
Olha Sverdlikovska
