On November 8, 2024, students of specialties 186 “Publishing and printing” and 022 “Design” of the National University of Ukraine USUST led by acting director Sverdlikovskaya Olga Sergiivna and deputy dean of the Faculty of Food and Chemical Technologies Anna Oleksandrivna visited Helius LTD. This enterprise is the largest manufacturer of corrugated cardboard, which is used in the manufacture of packaging for the transportation and storage of various consumer goods.

Technologist of the enterprise Umantsev Serhiy Serhiyovych familiarized the students with the technological process of production of cardboard boxes and other packaging both for reliable transportation of food and industrial goods and for long-term storage in warehouses. During the excursion, special attention was paid to studying the principles of flexographic printing using the example of applying the customer’s logo on containers and packaging made of corrugated cardboard.

Excursions to enterprises for education seekers are a useful event within the framework of cooperation with stakeholders, which increased students’ knowledge of the directions of the future profession, an idea of ​​modern production conditions, and helped to orientate in yet another direction of professional activity.

In the future, students have the opportunity to acquire practical skills in the modern production of cardboard packaging.
