Exhibition “Intersection of Spaces and Senses” in the Art Space of the SEI USUCT

On October 22, 2025, the Art Space of the SEI USUCT turned into a real art gallery. The opening of the exhibition “Intersection of Spaces and Senses”, which combined painting, graphics, sculpture and ceramics, took place here. The authors of the exhibition are teachers of the Department of Fundamentals of Architecture of the SEI of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology.

The Director of the SEI of the USUCT, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor Olga Sverdlikovska, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. She thanked the artists for their talent and inspiration and emphasized that such joint initiatives between the institutes contribute to the unity of the university community and the development of creative thinking.

The Dean of the Faculty of Architecture of the SEI of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology, Candidate of Architecture, Associate Professor Olexandr Kharlan thanked his colleagues for the high level of the presented works and wished for further creative meetings. The Dean of the Faculty of Food and Chemical Technologies of the National Research Institute of the State Technical University of Ukraine, Valery Ovcharov, emphasized the importance of combining scientific activity with art, because it is creativity that helps develop the creativity of future specialists.

Among the exhibited works:

  • sculptures by Yulia Zobenko, known for her projects in the urban space of the Dnipro (“Alfred Nobel’s Planet”, memorial plaques to Valerian Pidmohylny and Taras Shevchenko);
  • paintings by Iryna Kosheleva, whose still lifes adorn private collections in Ukraine, Australia, Norway and Sweden;
  • graphics by Natalia Zakharchuk, illustrator, designer and author of numerous art projects in the genres of graphic design, land art and textile art.

“The Crossroads of Spaces and Senses” is not just an exhibition, but a creative conversation between the artist and the viewer, an attempt to find harmony between form, space and inner meaning.

Such cultural initiatives prove once again that joint creative events create a single space for inspiration, partnership, and development of the university community.
