On May 23, 2025, the Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology (USUCT) was visited by tenth-graders of Lyceum No. 97 of Dnipro. The excursion became the first acquaintance of the students with modern education and technologies that are used daily in the educational process.

The meeting began in the hall of the main building, where the lyceum students were greeted by the director of the institute, Professor Olga Sverdlikovska and her deputy Yaroslav Kozlov. From the first minutes, a warm atmosphere of openness, sincerity and friendliness reigned.

The first location for the guests was the Museum of the History of USUCT. Emotional stories of student guides led by Marina Demydko opened the history of our university to the students, which began 95 years ago. They learned about the people who stood at the origins of the university, about its contribution to the development of the chemical industry of Ukraine, and about the students and graduates who were the first to defend our state.

Then, the students visited the laboratories, where they got acquainted with the practical areas of student training. In the Laboratory of Printing and Design, they saw with their own eyes how creativity is combined with technology, and under the guidance of teachers, they tried to apply the USUST logo on eco-bags.

In the Laboratory of 3D Printing and Energy Efficiency, the students got acquainted with innovative equipment, experimented with techniques, and listened to explanations by the head of the Department of Energy, Associate Professor Stanislav Kovalev. Some technologies really resembled scenes from films about the future.

While getting to know the university, the tour participants not only saw modern laboratories and classrooms, but also felt like part of a large student family. Someone has already decided on their future profession, someone is simply fascinated by the atmosphere and opportunities that our university opens up.
