Excursion of students of the SEI USUCT to the Historical Museum to immerse themselves in the history of technology
On May 19, 2025, a study tour to the Dnipropetrovsk National Historical Museum named after Dmytro Yavornytsky was organized for students of specialties G11 “Mechanical Engineering” and G9 “Applied Mechanics” as part of studying the discipline “History of Engineering Activity”. The initiator of the event was the head of the Department of Innovative Engineering Oleg Kabat.
During the tour, the students got acquainted with the main stages of scientific and technological development of mankind – from the Stone Age to the present day. Thanks to museum exhibits, such as tools, weapons, documents and other engineering artifacts, the participants formed a holistic idea of the evolution of science and technology and were even able to outline possible vectors of its development in the future.
A meaningful story and a friendly atmosphere created by the museum staff made the tour interesting and useful. Positive impressions and sincere interest in the topic were a great addition to the educational process.
Sincere gratitude to the director of the museum, candidate of historical sciences Olexandr Starik, for all his help in organizing the event. We hope for continued fruitful cooperation!
