On April 11, 2025, colleagues, friends, students and representatives of the university administration gathered in the reading room of the library of the SEI USUCT to congratulate Professor Vladimir Ivanovich Sitar on his anniversary – a scientist, teacher and mentor of more than one generation of students.

The event was held within the framework of a new project of the museum of history and library of the National Institute of Science and Technology of the USUCT – “The Creative Path of a Scientist”, designed to celebrate the personalities who shape the scientific school and culture of the university.

The vice-rector for scientific and pedagogical work, advertising and information activities and communications of the USUCT Olga Ryzhova, acting director of the SEI USUCT Olga Sverdlikovska, deputy director of the institute Yaroslav Kozlov, as well as colleagues, former students and friends came to congratulate the hero of the day.

The warm atmosphere of the meeting was maintained by the host, Professor Oleg Kabat, who shared his memories of Volodymyr Ivanovich as his teacher. The hero of the day spoke openly and sincerely about his own professional path: from student to dean, about challenges and victories, about the work that has become a life’s work.

Sincere words of gratitude and respect were addressed to Volodymyr Ivanovich. He was greeted by colleagues, Professors Olexandr Kharchenko, Valeriy Ovcharov, Associate Professor Ilya Nachovny, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering Ihor Levchuk, graduate students, teachers, and employees of the departments. Those who owe him their first steps in science also shared their warm words, Associate Professors Olexandr Stovpnyk and Antonina Yashnova.

At the end of the meeting, the hero of the day thanked all those present for their kind words and support, and wished everyone the realization of their brightest dreams.

For the anniversary, an exhibition of scientific works by Volodymyr Ivanovych has been prepared in the library (room 350) – another touch to the deep portrait of a scientist who has devoted his whole life to science and education.
