On October 8, 2025, as part of the career guidance work of the Department of Physical Culture, Sports and Health of the SEI USUCT USUST, a meaningful meeting was held with students of Lyceum No. 15 of the city of Dnipro, in which 78 students from five grades participated.

The event was organized by the senior lecturer of the department Alla Mykolayivna Kyrychenko. The meeting was joined by the head of the department, associate professor Lina Oleksandrivna Sokolova and the representative of the selection committee of the National Institute of Physical Culture, USUST Kateryna Volodymyrivna Roenko.

During the meeting, the lyceum students were introduced to the features of admission to the university, the structure of educational programs and the prospects of studying in the specialty A7 “Physical Culture and Sports” of the educational program “Regenerative Physical Culture and Sports”.

Separately, there was a discussion about the training of specialists in the fields of physical rehabilitation, recreation, fitness and sports – areas that are dynamically developing today both in Ukraine and abroad.

Basketball athletes, among whom are champions of Ukraine, showed particular interest in the meeting. They actively asked questions about the possibilities of combining a sports career with studies, and were also interested in the prospects of work in the field of coaching and sports science.

Representatives of USUST emphasized that training in the specialty “Physical Culture and Sports” not only forms professional competencies, but also instills the values ​​of a healthy lifestyle, humanism, patriotism and team spirit.

At the end of the meeting, the participants exchanged views and agreed on further cooperation. The department staff expresses sincere gratitude to the class teacher Nataliya Vovk and the deputy director Vladislav Kolesnyk for their help in organizing the event and facilitating career guidance work.

Such meetings not only help students decide on their future profession, but also popularize the university’s specialties, affirming the positive image of USUST as a modern educational space that combines SCIENCE, SPORTS AND HUMAN HEALTH!
