Awarding of winners of international and all-Ukrainian competitions of student scientific works

On June 24, 2025, at the meeting of the Academic Council of the SEI USUCT of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology, the winners of international and all-Ukrainian competitions of student scientific works and their scientific supervisors were awarded.

Congratulations to SMELOVA Margarita, a student of group 2-BMI-51, faculty of X and HT, on winning (Diploma of the 1st degree) in the International competition of scientific works “Industry 5.0: New business models, social challenges and digital solutions for an inclusive society”, direction “Biomedical Engineering”. The competition was held at the State Higher Educational Institution “Pryazovsky State Technical University”, May 28-29, 2025. Scientific supervisor KHOMENKO Olena Sergiyevna, Ph.D., Associate Professor of the Department of Chemical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering.

Congratulations to SLIPCHENKO Vitaliy, a student of group 5-BT-38, faculty of F and BT, on winning (Diploma of the 3rd degree) in the All-Ukrainian competition of student scientific works in “Biotechnology” 2024/2025 academic year. The competition was held at the National University of Food Technologies (NUFT), Kyiv, April 10, 2025. Scientific supervisor VLASENKO Kateryna Mykolaivna, Doctor of Philosophy, Associate Professor of the Department of BT and BZhD.

In order to support gifted students, create conditions for their creative growth, and activate the scientific and research work of students, the I round of the All-Ukrainian competition of student scientific works in fields of knowledge and specialties in 2024/2025 academic year was held at the SEI USUCT.

During the first round of the Competition, competition commissions and organizing committees worked in the relevant fields of knowledge and specialties. According to the minutes of the meeting of the departmental competition commissions, the winners are presented on the university website in the following specialties:

  • 161 Chemical Technology and Engineering (Departments of TNR and E, TPP and PM; F and TOR; AH and KhTKD and KZ);
  • 101 Ecology;
  • 102 Chemistry;
  • 174 Automation, Computer-Integrated Technologies and Robotics;
  • 175 Information and Measuring Technologies;
  • K10 Civil Security;
  • G21 Biotechnology and bioengineering;
  • G22 Biomedical Engineering.

The range of student scientific and technical research was impressive in its diversity. Most of the research papers were distinguished by modern research methods.

In total, the following departments participated in the 1st round of the Competition:

  • 8 departments in 8 specialties:
    • technology of inorganic substances and ecology;
    • pharmacy and technology of organic substances;
    • technology of fuels, polymer and printing materials;
    • analytical chemistry and chemical technology of food additives and cosmetics;
    • inorganic chemistry;
    • computer-integrated technologies and automation;
    • biotechnology and life safety;
    • chemical technologies of ceramics, glass and biomedical materials;
  • 32 students, including 26 winners:
    • Diploma I degree – 8;
    • Diploma II degree – 8;
    • Diploma III degree – 10.

The Department of NDRS wishes students creative success in their studies, high professional achievements, and an interesting student life!
