At SEI USUCT died chlorophyll in the GREEN-ED project
During the session, the school students worked with plant raw materials and gained practical experience with the method of chlorophyll extraction using an organic solvent. The participants also observed the process of pigment separation, which helped them better understand the structure and properties of natural dyes.
The event was organized within the framework of the educational project “GREEN-ED. Green Education of Dnipro”, which is aimed at developing environmental awareness, a responsible attitude toward natural resources, and an understanding of the principles of sustainable development. Modern environmental education is viewed as a comprehensive process that combines knowledge, values, and practical skills, and is focused on fostering a conscious attitude toward the environment and ecological culture among young people.
The practical format of the session allowed students not only to observe laboratory processes but also to understand their connection to real environmental challenges and biotechnological approaches to solving them.
Such events are an important component of the career guidance activities of the SEI USUCT and contribute to engaging school students in modern science and technology.
