Art event Colors of the Ukrainian at the SEI USUCT

On April 16, 2026, SEI USUCT of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology hosted the art event “Colors of the Ukrainian Soul”, which brought together students, lecturers, and guests around the theme of Ukrainian culture, its depth, and its contemporary expression.

A festive atmosphere was felt from the very entrance hall of the main building, where a photo zone designed in the style of a traditional Ukrainian vyshyvanka was arranged, accompanied by soft Ukrainian music.

The host of the event, a student of group 4-PO-12 Oleksandra Sniehur, immediately set the overall tone — a reflection on Ukrainian identity through art, memory, and an inner sense of belonging.

The musical part of the celebration was opened by a student of group 4-VP-9 Mariia Verbytska, who performed a touching Ukrainian song. The next highlight was the dance performance “Flower-Soul” presented by the creative group “Euphoria”. Through expressive movement, the performers conveyed an image of tenderness and strength traditionally associated with Ukrainian culture.

The theme was further developed through a fusion of traditional and contemporary art in the performance by first-year student of the “Event Management” program Alina Lehka and her partner Oleksii Umnov, set to the composition “Hutsulka Ksenia”.

The audience’s attention was then captured by a creative fashion show inspired by images from Ukrainian mythology — mavkas, mermaids, and motanka dolls. The participants presented сценічні looks that combined the symbolism of folk culture with a modern interpretation, creating a striking artistic composition.

The conceptual highlight of the event was the recitation of the patriotic poem “Love Ukraine” by Volodymyr Sosiura, performed by student of group 1-SO(a)-3 Anastasiia Fitkovska.

The final part of the creative program opened with the dance “Vesnianka” performed by the “Euphoria” group. The idea of unstoppable energy, renewal, and forward movement became a logical conclusion to the overall mood of the event.

Director of SEI USUCT, Professor Olha Serhiivna Sverdlikovska, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. In her remarks, she expressed gratitude to the defenders of Ukraine for the opportunity to live, study, and create, highlighted the role of student творчість in strengthening inner resilience, and emphasized the importance of such events for preserving cultural identity.

At the end of the event, all participants came on stage, and the host Oleksandra Sniehur once again emphasized the main idea of the event — Ukrainian culture exists not only as a heritage, but as a living practice that continues in everyday actions, creativity, and the conscious choices of every Ukrainian.

The artistic event “Colors of the Ukrainian Soul” became a vivid example of how the educational process, cultural reflection, and creative self-realization can be organically combined within a modern academic environment.

We sincerely thank all participants and guests for the atmosphere, inspiration, and for jointly creating this special celebration!
