Another lecture on transformational leadership at SEI USUCT on practice management

On April 24, 2026, as part of the educational and professional program “Management and Administration” for first-cycle (Bachelor’s) higher education students, the second guest lecture of the series “Transformational Leadership: From Student to Manager” took place. The meeting was devoted to the topics of finding an employer, passing a job interview, and adapting to a new workplace.

The lecture series is organized by the Department of Economics, Management and Entrepreneurship of the SEI PSACEA with the participation of several institutes of the university, including the SEI USUCT.

The guest lecturer was Oksana Vovchenko — Candidate of Technical Sciences, PhD in Project Management, consultant in organizational development, leadership and personnel management, business trainer and coach. She has over 25 years of managerial experience, has held positions as HR Director and Director of Organizational Development in Ukrainian companies, and teaches at MIM Kyiv and the Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

During the lecture, participants explored modern approaches to interview preparation, including the use of the STAR method for demonstrating personal competencies, as well as the possibilities of applying artificial intelligence tools as a digital coach and analyst. Particular attention was given to the practice of interview simulation in the Mock Interview format and the development of a competitive resume.

During the discussion, participants focused on the balance between Soft Skills and Hard Skills and how to effectively present their strengths to a potential employer.

The event was attended by around 30 students and faculty members of USUST, including representatives of the SEI USUCT.

Participants highlighted the practical orientation of the lecture and the usefulness of the recommendations received for their future employment. The organizers thanked the speaker for the insightful meeting and the students for their active participation and engagement.
