Achievements of USUCT researchers recognised at the Academic Council of USUST

On 26 December 2025, the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies hosted the meeting of the University staff, followed by an extended meeting of the Academic Council of the University. The event brought together the university leadership, delegates of the staff, representatives of public authorities, academic community, and partner institutions.
 
During the conference, Rector of USUST, Kostiantyn Sukhyi, presented the results of the University’s activities in 2025 and reported on the implementation of the Collective Agreement. He outlined the key areas of the University’s development, including structural changes, the expansion of educational programmes, outcomes of research and international activities, modernization of the material and technical infrastructure, as well as the University’s role in regional and nationwide initiatives.
 
Following the results of an open vote, the delegates approved a new version of the Collective Agreement for 2026–2030 and unanimously endorsed the Development Strategy of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies for the same period. The Strategy defines the University’s vision as a modern research institution integrated into the European educational and research area.
During the meeting of the Academic Council, special attention was given to the recognition of academic and teaching staff, in particular the representatives of the SEI ‘Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology’, whose long-standing dedicated work and professional achievements makes an important contribution to the University’s development.
 
Olha Ryzhova, Professor of the Department of Chemical Technologies of Ceramics, Glass, and Biomedical Materials was awarded an Honorary Certificate of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council for her significant contribution to academic and teaching activities, the training of highly qualified specialists, and long-standing dedicated and conscientious service. Her scientific and educational work constitutes an important component in strengthening the reputation of the SEI ‘USUCT’ and advancing chemical-technological education in the region.
 
On the occasion of the World Science Day for Peace and DevelopmentAssociate Professor Oleh Kalinichenko of the Department of Fuel Technologies, Polymer and Printing Materials was awarded a Letter of Appreciation from the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. The distinction was presented in recognition of his personal contribution to the development of scientific research, active academic and teaching work, and consistent involvement in fostering the University’s scientific culture. His professional activity successfully combines in-depth research with work wstudents and early-career researchers.
 
At the meeting, an Associate Professor Certificate of the Department of Innovative Engineering was also awarded to Oleksandr Stovpnyk, Candidate of Technical Sciences. This distinction recognizes the results of his academic and teaching activities, professional development, and contribution to the educational process of the SEI ‘USUCT’.
Special words of appreciation were also addressed to Anatolii Chychkov, Associate Professor, who has been heading the Department of Philosophy and Ukrainian Studies of the SEI ‘USUCT’ for more than three decades. His consistent and responsible leadership, retaining of the department’s human resources, active participation in university life, and steady development of the humanitarian component of education at the Institute were particularly highlighted.
 
The participation of the staff of the SEI ‘USUCT’ in the meeting of the University staff and the Academic Council meeting of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies, as well as the distinctions received, confirms the high level of professionalism, scientific culture, and dedication that shape the Institute’s reputation both within the University structure and beyond.
