95 years on the path to knowledge and achievements: SEI USUCT celebrated its anniversary
On May 15, 2025, teachers, students and guests gathered at the Museum of History of USUCT to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the educational and scientific institute “Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology” USUST. This day became an occasion not only for celebration, but also for remembrance of how the history of the institute was formed, which for almost a century has remained a powerful center for training specialists for the chemical industry.
The meeting was attended by the acting director of the SEI USUCT, Professor Olga Sverdlikovska, Dean of the Faculty of Food and Chemical Technologies, Professor Valery Ovcharov, Senior Researcher of the Department of Chemical Technologies of Ceramics, Glass and Biomedical Materials, Associate Professor Olena Khomenko. The acting director of the educational and scientific institute “Aerospace Institute”, Associate Professor Iryna Sukha also joined.
All guests shared memories of the university, expressed gratitude for the years dedicated to study and work, and presented the museum with new exhibits – valuable artifacts, which will now be part of the history of ChemTech.
Olga Sverdlikovska congratulated the team on the anniversary and noted that despite its venerable age, the institute retains a young spirit, is dynamically developing and remains one of the leading centers of engineering and technical education in Ukraine.
The Museum of the History of USUCT is currently a real center of memory of the bright pages of university life. Today it stores exhibits that testify to the achievements of students and teachers, to the significant contribution of the institute to the development of chemical science and technology.
The celebration ended with warm wishes, relaxed communication and plans for the future. SEI USUCT does not stop there – new peaks and new achievements are ahead!
