On November 4, 2020, at the initiative of the Department of Information Systems, the VI International Scientific and Practical Conference “Computer Modeling and Optimization of Complex Systems” was held at SHEI Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology. The conference was held online for the first time, given the implementation of quarantine measures. The event was attended by over 20 participants and 9 online speakers. The Program Committee of the conference consisted of leading research centers in Ukraine and abroad. Among them were the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the Institute of Cybernetics named after V.M. Glushkov, National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute named after Igor Sikorsky”, National Aerospace University named after M.E. Zhukovsky “Kharkiv Aviation Institute”, Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences Department of Physical, Mathematical and Technical Sciences (Baku, Azerbaijan), Azerbaijan Technical University (Baku, Azerbaijan), AGH University of Science and Technology (Krakow, Poland), Belarusian State University of Transport (Gomel, Belarus), Delft University of Technology (Delft, The Netherlands), Institute of Computational Technologies SD RAS (Novosibirsk, Russia), Technical University of Sofia (Sofia, Bulgaria).

A collection of more than 90 abstracts was published based on the materials of the conference. The most interesting materials were recommended for publication in the scientific journal “Computer Modeling: Analysis, Management, Optimization”.

The Organizing Committee sincerely thanks all the participants of the conference for their fruitful work and interesting reports! Despite the quarantine restrictions, the conference was successful. So we are waiting for the VII International Scientific and Practical Conference “Computer Modeling and Optimization of Complex Systems” to start next year.
